“The Government Procurement Agency” was established by the Government’s resolution No.6 dated August 27, 2012, as an implementing agency of the Government under the Deputy Prime Minister’s scope.
The Procurement Agency is a professional institution, which is in charge of organizing purchasing goods, works and services with state and local state funds and started its operations with a staff of 65 since October 48, 2012.
Since then, 31 branch procurement units with a staff of 193, which are in charge of managing state purchasing in the provinces, the capital and rural areas, have been established.
